At New Visions, we understand how difficult it can be to make the transition from school to the world of work. We help to prepare students for work in a variety of ways, each focusing on the students’ particular strengths and areas of interest.
Our workshops include:
• Interview Skills
• Keeping Your Job
• Job Readiness
• Acing The College Application
• Getting A Job: From Resume To Interview
Through the internships we offer, students will develop more self-esteem and skills they can take into the real world upon graduation. Students will explore careers in a risk-free environment and gain valuable social skills. Vocabulary and math skills will be put to use in real-life situations and, in some instances, students will have the opportunity to earn money and learn the connection between work and money, as well as how to manage income.
No matter the needs, the New Visions School-To-Work program will ensure a smooth transition for a successful placement every time. We understand the necessity for scheduling flexibility and will work with parents in the evening to discuss services and specific needs. Contact us for more information today.
